According to the company’s CEO, Rahul Purini, the release of Demon Slayer: Infinite Castle Part 2 and Part 3 are being discussed by the platform, as the projects are still in unknown stages of development. The resounding success of the first feature film is also responsible for the delay, as the studios Aniplex and Ufotable want to make the most of the production’s hype on the big screen, making it exclusive in cinemas until the end of 2025.
“Well, we announced that it will be a trilogy of films, but our partners at Aniplex and Ufotable haven’t decided on dates yet. But look, there is definitely an urgency for all of us to bring more Demon Slayer to the fans as quickly as possible — because we know that urgency exists among the fan base,” the executive told The Hollywood Reporter.
