The regional dress of Emma Boivin, Miss Picardie 2025, was made by a stylist from Beauvais. To create it, she was inspired by three books by Alexandre Dumas: The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo and Queen Margot. The dress will be in the colors of the Picardy flag.
The Miss France 2026 ceremony is fast approaching. While the tickets to follow the journey of Emma Boivin, Miss Picardy 2025live from the Zénith d'Amiens are on sale Wednesday, November 12the editorial staff of Ici Picardie managed to glean some juicy information in preview on the dress that Miss Picardie will wear for her regional painting. She will be at colors of the flag of Picardyred, white, yellow and blue and inspired by three major works by the Axonais writer Alexandre Dumas.
"The inspiration for this costume is Alexandre Dumas", says Gwénaëlle Benistant, the creator, who chose to be inspired by three major works by the writer born in Villers-Bretonneux (Aisne), "Queen Margot is the Renaissance, The Count of Monte Cristo is the 19th century, and The Three Musketeers is Louis XIII, the 17th century. Mixing the three was a nice little challenge to take on.".
"There is a bit of extravagance, in any case it is not minimalist", the designer tells us again, who chose to use the colors of the flag of Picardy, white, royal blue, yellow and red, "These are colors that work very well together and it’s unifying for the Picards, it worked well!".
This makes 11 ans that the stylist-modelist and seamstress, makes dresses for the regional table of certain Misses. She has already made the outfit of Miss Champagne-Ardenne, but also the outfit of the Miss of her region of origin, Brittany. She was selected this year on the basis of a project, before the regional election. "Once Emma was elected (Miss Picardie 2025, editor’s note)I took her measurements, she made herself available and it helped me a lot", explains the manager of the wedding dress boutique Le Chat parade, in Beauvais, "she had her last fitting on Monday November 3".
"When I make a costume, each time I believe in it, I always put a little piece of me into it, even if it's a costume that's only going to spend a few minutes on screen, there's a lot of thought put into making it well done.", breathes Gwénaëlle Benistant, "and then it's the only painting where they are really with very different outfits from each other, where they can really claim their singularity, their region with the costume that a designer made for them, it's really nice".
"Each region has a great cultural identity. Picardy is close to my heart because it is the region where I live, I am married to a Picard anyway", she adds with a smile, "it's hours and hours of work and to see them on the Miss France stage, it's really a great source of pride".
