The Vatican premiered the documentary "Leo from Chicago" this Monday on YouTube. a work that traces the history, family roots and the Augustinian vocation of the pontiff in his homeland, with testimonies, among others, from his brothers Louis and John.

The pope's second documentary, which follows 'León de Perú', released last June, delves into his roots from his childhood in Dolton, Chicago, where he grew up with his parents and siblings in a small house with one room, one bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and a dining room, as revealed by his brother Louis.

The tape, 52 minutes longreconstructs the life itinerary of Robert Francis Prevost in the United States through the memories of family members, fellow students, teachers and lifelong friends.

The documentary also includes unpublished photographs of the pontiff in his childhood and youth, along with his parents and brothers, as well as images with his friends from childhood and youth, which tell of his personal and spiritual evolution until he became pope.

His brothers remember that since his birth "he was special." They grew up in a Catholic home, their mother attended mass every morning before preparing them for school and faith was present at home, which led them to follow that same path.

"I think one of the nuns said something like this to him at school one year: 'Robert Francis, you could be pope one day'"Louis remembers.

Aspects of the pontiff also stand out like his love of driving, his studious naturerelaxed and humble and his great sense of humor.

The audiovisual piece, available in Spanish, Italian and English, shows images of the house where he grew up, as well as the places that have marked his career.

It also includes stories and anecdotes, like his taste for Chicago cuisine and pizzaespecially the pepperoni one.

The film, made by journalists Deborah Castellano-Lubov, Salvatore Cernuzio and Felipe Herrera-Espaliat, with editing by Jaime Vizcaíno Haro, is produced by the Editorial Directorate of the Dicastery for Communication in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Apostolate El Sembrador Nueva Evangelización (ESNE).

'Leo from Chicago' will be screened in the coming days in several Italian cities, specifically in Vicenza and Cremona (November 21), Trento (November 25), Verona (December 1), Genoa (December 5) and Cagliari (December 15), Vatican media reported.
