The preview sale of the film "The Secret Agent", by director Kleber Mendonça Filho, which stars Wagner Moura, begins this Thursday (16). Tickets are available on Cinemark, Cinesystem, Cinépolis and Belas Artes websites or the Ingresso.com app.

With awards for best direction and best actor at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in France, the film is scheduled for release on November 6th, but is already showing on the commercial circuit from the 26th.

The film will also be shown at the 49th São Paulo International Exhibition, which runs until October 30th in São Paulo.

Set during the military dictatorship in the 1970s, the story follows Marcelo (Wagner Moura), a technology specialist who decides to start his life over and escape his violent past, moving to Recife. Upon arriving in the capital of Pernambuco, he realizes that his hometown hides dangers and disturbing secrets. The situation intensifies when he feels he is being spied on by his neighbors.

"The Secret Agent" was selected by the Brazilian Cinema Academy to compete in the Best International Film category at the March 2026 awards.
