Stellantis confirmed, through Antonio Filosa, the company's CEO, that Ram will have a new mid-size pickup truck on the American market from 2027, with the product being a rival to pickup trucks such as the Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger and Nissan Frontier.

Since the end of the Dodge Dakota, Stellantis has not had a midsize pickup truck in the American market and even in South America, the Ram started selling the Fiat Titano pickup truck under its brand in the Mexican market and other regions.

In addition, from 2026 onwards, Ram will have a local reinterpretation of the Dakota, but still based on the Titano Argentina. However, as these are products associated with a Chinese vehicle, in this case the Kaicene F70, Stellantis does not intend to place this product on the American market.

Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram, indicated that the new mid-size pickup will have a spar chassis and a steel cabin, indicating that Stellantis will focus on robustness and the product will not compete directly with Honda Ridgeline, the only one on the market in regular size, with unibody.
