The long-awaited film Frankenstein, directed by Mexican Guillermo del Toro, will arrive in Puebla in a limited screening in theaters before its premiere on the streaming platform. People from Puebla will be able to enjoy this adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic starting October 23, 2025 at the BUAP University Cultural Complex (CCU), with performances at 12:00, 3:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 9:00 p.m. General admission will cost 50 pesos.
The cast includes Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi as the creature, as well as Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz. The film has been internationally recognized for its artistic and profound approach, receiving standing ovations at festivals such as Venice. Viewers will be able to choose between the version dubbed into Spanish or the one subtitled in English, depending on the day of the performance.
Prior to the premiere, the CCU will offer a free Guillermo del Toro film series from October 20 to 22, where some of his previous works will be screened. Those interested are recommended to buy tickets in advance due to the high interest generated and consult the billboards of other independent cinemas in Puebla that could also offer special screenings of the film.
