A few days ago, the actor and film director Daniel Guzmán went to the podcast Animals Humans to promote The Debta film that he has written, directed, produced and starred in.

It should be noted that there is great popular expectation for the film that premieres in cinemas in our country next Friday, October 17, since, in addition to Guzmán, other big names from the Spanish audiovisual world participate, such as Itziar Ituño, Luis Tosar, Francesc Garrido and Susana Abaitua, among others.

The guest explained to the presenter that he is looking forward to the premiere, since it has been a very difficult film for him to shoot. According to his testimony, the film was filmed in more than 60 locations over 10 weeks, which exceeded expectations and doubled the initial budget.

Although at first he was not going to appear in the film as the protagonist because he preferred to focus on his work as a director, a series of circumstances pushed him to lead the project also in front of the cameras.

As expected, the presenter did not miss the opportunity and asked him about his experience in There is no one who lives hereone of the most mythical fictions in the history of Spain. Faced with this question, Guzmán explained that he will never deny the series produced by José Luis Moreno, since it opened many doors for him in the industry and deeply marked his identity as an artist.

Although he was proud of his participation in the family comedy, he revealed that he almost rejected the project and that, even after reading the script, he believed that it was not for him. However, after meeting the cast, he decided to give it a chance: ''I arrived at the studios and saw Edu, the boy, wonderful. To Loles León, to Mariví Bilbao, to Emma Penella... Of course, I start listening to the score and that was a symphony. "When the scripts are so well written, they just need to be said."

His way of seeing life

At one point in the interview, the interpreter opened up and revealed that the recent death of a friend had made him realize that there are three fundamental things in life: ''The first, obviously, is affection. Sharing love is what gives meaning to your life, whatever the level. Another is to never stop laughing. The day you don't laugh is lost. And finally, do what you like, whatever that may be. What if now, for example, I leave cinema and dedicate myself to DIY and it makes me happy, well that's the wonderful thing.''
