Launched in the last month of 2024, the new generation of Equinox has just undergone its second price adjustment for both the Activ version and the RS variant. Both initially arrived costing the same: R$267,000, with an adjustment of R$8,790 just a month later, in January. Now in July, the brand's website displays higher values ββagain.
The Chevrolet Equinox SUV in its combustion variants costs no less than R$ 285,490, or R$ 18,490 more compared to the original launch price, in December of last year. With this new adjustment, the medium SUV now has an even greater price difference when compared to the Tracker. The compact, which was renewed in the 2026 line, sells for R$190,590 in its most expensive option, or around R$94,900 less than its bigger brother.

The new generation of Equinox has not been having a good time in the Brazilian market. Since its launch, around eight months ago, the model has registered only 1,272 units in the country, numbers much lower than the main competitors in the category, such as the Jeep Compass and Toyota Corolla Cross, which had 32,247 and 33,861 units registered in the same period, respectively.
Despite being considerably more expensive, the Equinox 2025 had no changes to its content. As a result, it continues to offer standard items such as 6 airbags, automatic emergency braking, blind spot and cross traffic alert, electronic stability and traction control, forward collision warning with auxiliary braking, LED headlights with height adjustment, dual zone air conditioning with ducts for the rear seats, ventilated and heated front seats, among others.

The Activ version differentiates itself by using a finish that mixes leather and alcantara in addition to black and caramel tones. There is also exclusive equipment that is not offered on the RS, such as a 360Β° camera, fog lights, rear-view mirror with video projection, 19" wheels and rear pedestrian detection alert. The RS, with a sportier design, has 20" wheels and details painted in glossy black.
Mechanically, there are no changes either. Both versions have the same 1.5 turbo gasoline engine, four cylinders, with direct injection of gasoline, delivering 177 hp at 5,600 rpm and maximum torque of 28 kgfm at 2,000 rpm. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic and has the option of electronic manual shifting. All-wheel drive (AWD) is standard, as are four-wheel disc brakes, accompanied by ABS, EBD and emergency braking assistance (PBA).

The most affordable option in Chevrolet's electric line in the country - at least until the arrival of the Chinese Spark EUV and Captiva EV - the Equinox EV has also become considerably more expensive since its launch in October 2024.
At the time, the configuration arrived in the country in a single version for R$419,000, a value that was readjusted during the year 2025 and reached R$440,190, or R$21,190 more. Despite the same name as the combustion version, the electrified version is very different in design and size, using the same Ultium base as the Blazer EV.
