The final arc of Demon Slayer will be adapted as a trilogy and while the first part of Infinite Castle is in theaters, fans are already waiting for news on the other two parts. However, it seems that fans of Koyoharu Gotouge's work will have to wait for a long time.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Crunchyroll CEO Rahul Purini spoke for the first time about Part 2 of Infinite Castle, revealing that there is still no release date for the film.

"Well, we announced that it would be a trilogy of films, but our partners at Aniplex and Ufotable haven't decided on the dates yet," he said.

Purini said he knows the anxiety of fans and that there is a sense of "urgency" on the part of the studios to bring more Demon Slayer to the big screen.

"There's definitely an urgency for all of us to bring more Demon Slayer to the fans as quickly as possible — because we know that urgency exists among the fan base."

Still talking about the sequels, Purini suggested that Part 2 has not yet started production, as when asked about the films' budget, the CEO said that he is still "working" with partners.

"We're in the middle of releasing the first one, so all I can say for now is that we're working closely with our partners to make sure the next two films are just as amazing — if not better."

Until then, Infinite Castle remains in theaters and should only arrive on streaming in 2026.
