Currently in the recording process, HBO Max's Harry Potter series is highly anticipated by fans for its potential to revisit scenes that did not appear in the Warner Bros. films. And behind-the-scenes images reveal that, in the first season, the public will be able to follow an important event involving Lord Voldemort.
Shared on X by the Wizarding World Direct profile, they show that one of the film sets will reproduce the location known as Godric's Hollow. And, as fans know, this is where one of the crucial moments that define the entire history of the franchise takes place.
Behind-the-scenes images released by Wizarding World Direct show several people dressed in Halloween costumes. The expectation is that they will serve as the stage for the moment when Lord Voldemort, then at the height of his powers, decides to persecute and kill Harry Potter's parentsknown in Brazil as Tiago and Lílian.
While in the books the Godric's Hollow scenes are restricted to the Potter house, the behind-the-scenes images reveal that this section could gain greater space in the production. Given the importance of the moment, it can even be revisited in different seasons — each of them revealing more details about what really happened and Lord Voldermort's motivations.
Although the scene involving Lord Voldemort is already being filmed, So far, HBO has not revealed who will take on the role.. In theaters, the series' big villain was played by Ralph Fiennes, whose work was highly praised and, even for that reason, makes it difficult to find a “successor”.
While the series has been criticized for making choices very similar to those followed by the films, the decision for an actor very different from Fiennes could break that impression a little. Rumors suggest that Cillian Murphy (from Peaky Blinders) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession) were considered for the role, but nothing has been confirmed by the network so far.
