The film "Bugonia", which marks the fourth partnership between director Yorgos Lanthimos and actress Emma Stone, will only be shown to people who are willing to shave their heads in a cinema in Los Angeles, in the United States. This is because Stone had to go bald herself to record the feature film, which will have advance screenings in Brazil during the SΓ£o Paulo Film Festival.
The unusual screening of the film will take place this Monday, the 20th, at the Culver Theater. The rule is to show up with your head shaved or arrive two hours before the start of the film to get your hair cut on site. Only adults are allowed in the session.
Stone said in interviews that shaving her head made her emotional because she remembered her mother, who had to do the same during treatment for breast cancer.
"Bugonia" portrays two conspiracists who kidnap the CEO of an acclaimed company, convinced that she is nothing more than an alien destined to destroy humanity. The film opens on the circuit on November 27th.
