Apple TV+ has set the release date for F1. The film that features Brad Pitt as a Formula 1 driver will arrive on the streaming service on December 12th,
In F1, legendary driver Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) is convinced to return to racing to support Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the young rookie from the fictional ApexGP team. Willing to take all the risks, Sonny puts together a strategy to make the team victorious. To do this, he will need the support of the technical committee and influential people in the sport, showing that the race goes far beyond the curves of the race tracks.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Krugrer, the same duo responsible for Top Gun: Maverick, the film also features names like Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon in the cast.
F1 became Apple's biggest film in terms of box office, grossing $629 million globally. With that, it surpassed Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon ($158 million worldwide) and Ridley Scott's Napoleon ($221 million).
Furthermore, the film also represents the highest-grossing film of Brad Pitt's career.
F1 will be available in the Apple TV+ catalog on December 12th.
