Success! 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Castelo do Infinito' managed to surpass the mark of US$550 million at the global box office.

The film became not only the greatest anime of all time, but also won the title of highest global grossing in history for a Japanese film.

The TOP 5 largest international markets include Mexico (US$15.1M), Hong Kong (US$12.4M), India (US$8.1M), United Kingdom (US$7.5M) and Indonesia (US$7.3M).

It is worth remembering that, in its premiere in the USA, the film opened with impressive US$70.6 million. The performance represents not only the biggest debut in history for an anime and for the Crunchyrollas well as reaching the TOP 6 of the biggest domestic releases for the month of September.

Furthermore, the production also became the biggest opening in the Sony Pictures in more than two years in the country.

The plot follows Tanjiro Kamado, who joins the Demon Hunter Corps after his family is massacred, seeking to transform his sister Nezuko back into a human. Alongside his companions Zenitsu and Inosuke, and the powerful Hashira, Tanjiro faces the greatest challenges of his journey, culminating in the final confrontation inside the mysterious Infinite Castle.

‘Your Name’by Makoto Shinkai, which previously held third place, was surpassed by 'Infinite Castle'.

‘Infinite Castle' is the first film in the final trilogy of the acclaimed shonen anime produced by the studio Ufotableadapting the final arc of the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge.
