The ugly stepsisterthe goriest version of Cinderella, has won the award for best film at the 58th edition of the Sitges Festival. Emilie Blichfeldt's film has received the greatest recognition this year, taking the baton of When evil lurks (2023) y The devil's bath (2024).

Special mention also for the male cast in full of The Plague and the Hollywood actress Rose Byrne (If I could, I would kick you), who already sounds even in the pools for the Oscars. Among the big winners we also find films like A useful ghost (best script), The Virgin of Tosquera (best photography), Exit 8 (best original music) and Honey Bunch (better special effects).
