The book says: «I got to drive the DeLorean. I know what you're thinking... how cool! I thought so too, at first, but I learned to hate her very quickly. First of all, let's face it: it was a shitty car. The accelerator was slow, the trim and interior cheap. And this was well before our special effects crew put their money into it (with quite a few millions of dollars)."

«Those haphazardly made contraptions – the flux channel, the clocks and other frills – were angular, metallic and sharp. After my first experience behind the wheel and throughout the rest of the filming, my hands became a network of cuts, I had bruises on my knuckles and bruises on my elbows because I kept banging against the dashboard.
