Film review: 'A simple accident', the torturer before his victims
Between 'The White Balloon', 'The Mirror' and 'The Circle' and 'Taxi Tehran', 'Bears Do Not Exist' and, now, 'A Simple Accident' there are some substantial changes in the cinema of Iranian Jafar Panahi, going from more intimate plots to others in which there is more regret. That is, a equally combative cinema for the portrayal and denunciation that he continues to make of what is happening in his country, but more bitter, more crude in his proposals, something understandable if we take into account that the filmmaker has been denied the opportunity to continue making films and is under house arrest. Even so, in his cinema there is always a place for the best of human beings.
