In recent years, it has become increasingly common for great classics and recent hits to return to movie theaters in special screenings. Whether to introduce these stories to a new audience or to offer older fans the chance to relive the experience on the big screen, these re-releases have been busy on distributors' calendars.

With that in mind, the Rolling Stone Brasil prepared a list of 12 films that will return to Brazilian cinemas in 2025. It is worth remembering that the dates may change depending on the distributors' decision.

1. Toy Story (1995): September 11

Pixar's first feature-length animation revolutionized cinema by presenting a universe where toys come to life when no one is looking.

2. Jeanne Dielman (1975): September 11

Classic directed by Chantal Akermanvoted the “best film of all time” by Sight & Sound magazine in 2022, returns in a restored copy for the Brazilian public.

3. Batman Forever (1995): September 20

The third film in the Dark Knight franchise in the 90s, directed by Joel Schumacherbrings Val Kilmer in the role of the hero and marked an era due to its colorful visuals and iconic soundtrack.

4. LEGO Batman (2017): September 20

An animation that won over adults and children by playing with the clichés of DC's darkest superhero universe — but in LEGO blocks.

5. It: The Thing (2017): September 24

The adaptation of the classic Stephen King introduced a new generation to the terrifying clown Pennywise, played by Bill Skarsgårdand became a box office phenomenon.

6. Paris, Texas (1984): September 25

Directed by Wim Wendersis one of the masterpieces of European cinema, winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes and remembered for its melancholic photography and soundtrack. Ry Cooder.

7. Avatar 2 (2022): October 2

Continuation of the epic James Camerontook audiences back to Pandora with even more advanced 3D technology and breathtaking visual effects.

8. The Corpse Bride (2005): October 30

stop-motion animation Tim Burton which mixes romance and dark atmosphere, ideal for the Halloween season.

9. Shark (1975): October 30

O thriller de Steven Spielberg which practically invented the concept of “summer blockbuster”, putting a fear of the sea into generations of spectators.

10. Back to the Future (1985): 05 November

The time travel adventure directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Michael J. Fox remains one of the most beloved films in pop cinema.

11. Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975): November 13

The cult musical that challenges conventions and brings together fans in interactive sessions is still a true counterculture classic today.

12. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005): November 15

Fourth chapter of the wizard's saga created by J.K. Rowlingmarked the beginning of the franchise's darkest phase, with the return of Voldemort and the iconic Triwizard Tournament.
