USA: Honda Accord beats Toyota Camry in direct sales

Honda revealed this Monday (24) that the Accord sedan surpassed the Toyota Camry in direct sales (to individuals) in the North American market in 2013. According to the automaker, 360,089 units of the model were sold last year.

The Camry, on the other hand, had 342,007 units sold directly to consumers in the period. But, if the examples traded in the corporate environment are taken into account, the number jumps to 408,484 units, even higher than the Accord.

Another fact that draws attention in relation to the Honda sedan is that, according to studies by ALG, Kelley Blue Book and other companies in the industry, the Accord is the model with the highest resale value in its segment, while the Camry does not appear in the Top-3 of the lists.
