In August 2024, during Disney’s D23 exhibition, Pixar announced some details about this fifth installment, focused on the relationship between classic toys and new technologies that capture the attention of today’s children.
According to the producers, the script addresses “the struggle to remain relevant in an era where physical gaming mixes with digital.”
