“When I received the script for PlaydateI immediately felt like it was perfect for him, because we were both looking forward to working together,” Greenfield said about signing Ritchson in ScreenRant last October. “I felt it right away and said, ‘This could bring you back to comedy, man. This could bring you back to the days of Blue Mountain State. He is a slightly more realistic character, and he accepted right away. So we got to work.”

Blue Mountain State (2010) is a comedy series set in a fictional university that revolves around the world of American football. Ritchson participated in it by giving life to Thad Castle. This happened before he became world famous with Reachera Prime Video fiction that is a success on the platform and has a much more serious tone.

Greenfield promised that Ritchson will amaze with his work in Playdate. “It’s really going to surprise you”said. “A lot of people cry in this movie. It’s crazy.”
