Taylor Swift announces “The Eras Tour” documentary series and film

The singer Taylor Swift35, announced, this Monday (13), the full film of their show from “The Eras Tour” – with songs from “The Tortured Poets Department” – and a six-episode documentary series about the tour.

The film “The Eras Tour: The Final Show” and the first two episodes of the series “The End Of an Era” debut on Disney+ em December 12th.

The singer posted the announcement on her social media, and wrote: “It was the end of an era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed the filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories that accompanied it as it ended. And film the final show in full.”

Taylor Swift performed 149 shows on five different continents with “The Eras Tour” throughout 2023 and 2024. She recently said that she was exhausted by performing for more than three hours on stage.

While appearing on British radio’s Magic Radio morning show earlier this month, she explained: “When I was on tour, it got to the point where we had so many shows so often that I was sick all the time, I was always sore, but I had also reached a point where I was able to perform on autopilot. So I needed something to wake my brain up again.”

“I was so physically exhausted from the shows, but being mentally stimulated making new music made me excited to get back on stage because I knew I had this little secret project I was working on,” she said.

Taylor referred to the process of composing the songs for her recently released new album: “The Life of a Showgirl”. “I think that’s the manifesto of how I approached this tour. There was no ‘I’m sick, I’m not going to be on stage’ option. There was no ‘I’m feeling terrible, I’m not going to do the show tonight’ alternative. And all of us on this tour operated from this assumption that the audience was our king,” he added.
