Success as an animation, “Gabby’s Magic House” gets live action

“Gabby’s Magic House – The Movie” is one of the week’s premieres in theaters, promising to delight fans of the Netflix original series. The feature film mixes animation elements with real people, honoring the characteristic style of TV production and expanding the adventures of Gabby and her friends into the “real world”.

Gabby goes on a fun car trip with her grandmother Gigi to the enchanted metropolis of Cat Francisco. However, the trip takes an unexpected turn when Gabby’s dollhouse, her most prized possession, ends up in the hands of Vera, an eccentric cat collector. The girl embarks on an exciting adventure through the real world, with the help of Pandy Gato, to reunite the Gabby Cats and rescue her beloved dollhouse before it’s too late.

The film is directed by Ryan Crego and written by Mike Lew, Rehana Lew Mirza, Adam Wilson and Melanie Wilson LaBracio. The cast includes Laila Lockhart Kraner (Gabby), Kristen Wiig (Vera) and the participation of singer Gloria Estefan (Grandma Gigi). As it is an animation, the original dubbing features names like Donovan Patton (Cat Rat) and Eduardo Franco (DJ Catnip). The indicative rating is free for all audiences.
