See what the new Toyota RAV4 2025 could look like; projection

The new generation of the Toyota RAV4 is one of the most anticipated launches of 2025. The sixth generation of the Japanese SUV is scheduled for the end of the year and will bring a new design and, possibly, new engines.

Its look was already previewed by a “leaked” image months ago during a presentation in China, in addition to prototypes spotted in the United States. We gathered the available information and tried to imagine what the Japanese brand’s new crossover will be like.

Based on recent sightings and rumors, our projection shows a 2025 Toyota RAV4 with a more muscular look and straight lines, compared to the current generation. The front adopts new “C” shaped LED headlights, inspired by the Crown Signia, sold in North America.

The headlights are connected by an illuminated strip, while the front grille is wider and more pronounced, with vertical air intakes at the ends of the bumper.

The sides are now less sculpted and more vertical, maintaining the hexagonal wheel arches, but with a straighter belt line that rises slightly towards the rear pillar. The almost vertical tailgate should improve trunk space.

As with the current generation, the style of the 2025 RAV4 may vary depending on the version. The Adventure, for example, tends to maintain the adventurous look with gray plastic bumpers and extra protections. The GR Sport will have a sportier feel, with a honeycomb grille and exclusive emblems.

Inside, the 2025 RAV4 will bring important new features. The cabin will have a redesigned digital dashboard, a new multimedia center with a screen between 14 and 15 inches and a larger instrument panel.

There are no expectations of radical changes to the propulsion systems. The SUV will continue with conventional hybrid (full hybrid) and plug-in hybrid versions. Both should gain more power and efficiency, with the option of front or all-wheel drive.

The official launch of the new Toyota RAV4 should take place at the end of 2025, with sales starting between the end of the year and the beginning of 2026. Prices should not rise much compared to current ones: around 42 thousand to 43 thousand euros for hybrids and between 53 thousand and 55 thousand euros for plug-ins. In Brazil, the RAV4 starts at R$350,000 and is available in hybrid (HEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.
