PUMUCKL AND THE GREAT MISUNDERSTANDING / Big premiere for the little goblin / PUMUCKL is celebrating its comeback to the cinema in Munich

Hurray, hurrah, the Pumuckl is here – and finally the most popular Klabautermann is returning to the big screen: PUMUCKL AND THE GREAT MISUNDERSTANDING celebrated its spectacular premiere yesterday in Munich’s Mathäser Filmpalast. Around 1,500 fans big and small flocked to the cinemas to be the first to experience the new adventure of Pumuckl and his master Eder. A colorful supporting program with numerous children’s attractions ensured smiling faces and an exuberant atmosphere even before the film started. The audience celebrated the cult figure’s comeback to the cinema with loud laughter, shining children’s eyes and long-lasting applause. After the screening, the cast and filmmakers received a standing ovation from the audience – including Florian Brückner, Maxi Schafroth and Gisela Schneebergerdirector Marcus H. Rosenmüller as well as the producers Simon Amberger, Korbinian Dufter and Rafael Parente.

After the acclaimed premiere in Munich, Pumuckl will conquer cinemas nationwide from October 30th. At the center of the director again Marcus H. Rosenmüller Florian Eder, played by, is part of the wonderfully staged story Florian Brückner, and the Pumuckl, played and spoken by Maximilian Schafrothwhose voice is transformed using AI into the unmistakable voice of Hans Clarin. Other roles include: Matthias Bundschuh, Gisela Schneeberger, Ilse Neubauer, Frederic Linkemann, Robert Palfrader, Anja Knauer and much more to see.

Content: A turtle, a trip to the country and then neighbor Burke’s birthday: There’s a lot going on at Pumuckl and Eder this summer! Maybe too much – because with so many events going on, the two of them barely manage to speak to each other properly. There is a big misunderstanding between Eder and Pumuckl and their tranquil world threatens to fall apart.

Marcus H. Rosenmüller, who directed the first season of the successful series “New Stories from Pumuckl” (available on RTL+), took over the direction based on the script by producer and author Korbinian Dufter and author Matthias Pacht. PUMUCKL AND THE GREAT MISUNDERSTANDING is a production by NEUESUPER (producers: Simon Amberger, Korbinian Dufter and Rafael Parente) in collaboration with RTL Deutschland and in co-production with Constantin Film.
