Almost 15 years after the release of the last feature film, the Weasley brothers reunited at a “family dinner”. Bonnie Wright, James and Oliver Phelps posed for a photo this Monday, 20th, and made waves on social media.

The actors brought to life part of the remarkable Weasley clan of wizards throughout the eight films in the saga written by JK Rowling. Twins in real life, the Phelps brothers have been part of the cast since their debut production, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Playing the youngest Ginny, Bonnie also appears in the first film, but gains prominence in the following films, becoming Harry’s love interest.

After the unexpected meeting, Oliver Phelps published the record on social media: “Family dinner in Baltimore,” he wrote. Among the famous Weasley brothers, only Rupert Grint, the interpreter of Ron, the protagonist’s inseparable best friend, was missing.

On social media, fans didn’t let the photo go unnoticed. “The reunion we all needed,” wrote one follower. “Thank you for sharing this moment with us”, thanked another internet user. “Where is Rupert Grint?” asked another profile.

The first book in the Harry Potter saga was released by JK Rowling in 1997, in the United Kingdom. Just four years later, the wizarding student’s adventures at Hogwarts hit cinema screens.

The film adaptations were an absolute success between 2001 and 2011, when it premiered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, the last film in the franchise starring Daniel Radcliffe.

Recently, the franchise’s producers announced the filming of a series inspired by JK Rowling’s books, with completely new actors and scenarios. Production is scheduled to launch in 2027.
