One battle after another | Paul Thomas Anderson’s film exceeds R$7 million at the Brazilian box office

In its second week on display, One Battle After Another remains firmly among the highlights of national cinema. The Warner Bros. feature film Pictures, directed by Paul Thomas Andersonhas already surpassed the R$7 million at the box office and was watched by more than 280 thousand people since its debut in September 25th.

To celebrate the performance, the studio released a special video com Chase Infinitiwhich comments on its theatrical debut as Willa Fergusondaughter of the character played by Leonardo DiCaprio. In the statement, the actress talks about the intensity of the relationship between father and daughter, describing the bond between the two as “the heart of the film”.

The film follows Bob Ferguson (Leonardo DiCaprio)a former revolutionary who is pulled back into a world of risk and secrets when his daughter Willa finds herself threatened. Between ambushes and moral dilemmas, the protagonist is forced to confront his own past to try to save what matters most.

The combination between family drama and political action gives the film the visceral tone characteristic of Anderson’s work, which here rediscovers themes such as guilt, redemption and power — now wrapped in sequences of almost constant tension.
