ELocked in her bathroom, facing the mirror, Cathy, played by Lyna Khoudri, insults her reflection and repeats the robbery she is about to commit. An assumed reference to the scene in which Robert De Niro, in Taxi Driverapostrophes his double in the mirror – « You talkin’to me ? » –, a cult sequence reinterpreted years later by Vincent Cassel in Hate.

A virile cinephile mythology, then, except that in the mirror this time the delicate, vulnerable and very feminine features of Lyna Khoudri can be seen and her character, seeing herself playing the tough guy, ends up bursting out laughing. And except that, unlike these purely fictional male characters, the real Cathy exists.

She is 60 years old today and was, three decades ago, the brain behind real good…
