Honda announced the arrival of the 2026 CR-V in the United States with new features that reinforce electrification and expand the technological resources of the brand’s best-selling SUV.

Among the highlights is the introduction of the unprecedented CR-V TrailSport Hybrid, a version that combines the robust look of the TrailSport line with Honda’s two-motor hybrid system.

The new Honda CR-V 2026 TrailSport Hybrid begins to be distributed to North American dealerships in the first half of 2025.
For the first time, the TrailSport trim is available with a hybrid powertrain on the CR-V. The new version features all-wheel drive as standard, Continental CrossContact ATR all-terrain tires and an improved traction management system to improve performance in off-road conditions.

The model is visually differentiated by piano black details, exclusive TrailSport emblems and 18-inch wheels in Shark Gray.

Inside, the TrailSport Hybrid’s cabin offers amber ambient lighting, all-season rubber floor mats, and TrailSport logos on the headrests.

The package also includes heated front seats, heated steering wheel, sunroof, 10.2-inch digital dashboard and multimedia center with 9-inch touchscreen, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an induction cell phone charger.

New hybrid versions
The 2026 CR-V line now has seven versions, three with turbo engines (LX, EX and EX-L) and four hybrids (Sport Hybrid, TrailSport Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid). Hybrid variants currently represent more than 50% of model sales.

Among the standard features, highlights include the new 9-inch HD multimedia screen, the wireless charger and the 10.2-inch digital dashboard (in the EX-L, Sport-L, TrailSport and Sport Touring versions).

The Sport Touring Hybrid configuration also incorporates integration with Google Assistant, Google Maps and access to Google Play, with a data plan included for three years.

Fourth generation hybrid powertrain
All 2026 CR-V hybrid models are equipped with Honda’s two-motor hybrid system, now in its fourth generation.

The engine combines two electric motors with a 2.0 Atkinson cycle gasoline engine, delivering a combined power of 204 hp and 32.5 kgfm of torque, with a focus on efficiency and performance.

The propulsion unit is manufactured in the United States at Ohio plants using domestically and globally sourced components.

The entire 2026 CR-V line comes equipped with the Honda Sensing® package, offering a complete suite of advanced safety and driver assistance technologies.

Among the available features are the braking system for collision mitigation with pedestrian detection, frontal collision alert, lane departure alert with assistance to keep the vehicle in the lane, in addition to adaptive cruise control.

The model also has blind spot monitoring, hill descent control and a driving mode specially developed for snow.

In addition, the model offers 10 standard airbags, including state-of-the-art front airbags, rear knee and side airbags, as well as rear seat belt use and rear seat occupancy alerts.

The 2026 CR-V continues to be produced at three Honda plants in North America: East Liberty (Ohio), Indiana and Alliston (Canada). Since 2006, more than 3 million units of the model have been manufactured in the United States.
