Almost a year after debuting at the Detroit Motor Show (USA), the new generation of the Toyota Camry arrives in Brazil discreetly, appearing in the brand’s internet configurator.

Starting at R$ 189,990, the large sedan will be sold in a single version, competing for space with the Honda Accord, Volkswagen Passat, Hyundai Azera and Ford Fusion, in addition to the cheaper versions of the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C Class.

While in the United States the Camry has two visual options for the front, in Brazil only one of them is available.

In addition to the Toyota logo supported by wings, the bumper is almost entirely taken up by a grille of horizontal fillets, which visually enlarge the sedan. The sporty look is completed by the pronounced creases on the hood. The tapered headlights have LEDs and xenon lighting.

From the side, the model has 18-inch wheels and a strong crease at the height of the door handles that begins and dies on the side. In the rear profile, a crease that runs down from the headlights refers to models from Lexus, a luxury brand linked to Toyota.

At the back, the highlight is the set of lights, fully illuminated by LEDs, which invade the sides and the trunk lid. Inside, the finish can be black or beige.

The engine is a V6 3.5 Dual VVT-I (variable valve timing) with 310 hp and 37.7 mkgf. The transmission is always an eight-speed automatic.
