NEW RESOURCES AND 134.7 m·kgf – Self-enthusiasts

The GMC Sierra is the “sister” pickup truck of the Chevrolet Silverado and, as such, accompanies each update with its own design. Right after the new Silverado HD (Heavy Duty), it is time for new features to appear for the Sierra HD 2024, which hits the American market in the first quarter of 2023.

The changes to the Sierra start with the front look. Inside, the Denali and Denali Ultimate luxury versions feature a digital dashboard, Bose audio system, front seats with heating, ventilation and massage and a 13.4-inch screen in the audio center, which offers wireless connection for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. As towing is one of the main purposes of these pickups in the USA, GMC adopted an adaptive speed controller that takes into account the use of a trailer, as well as cameras at the rear, for better visibility of the areas covered by the trailer, and warning of blind spots next to the trailer.

The 6.6-liter Duramax V-8 turbodiesel engine has been revised to produce 477 hp and a superb 134.7 m·kgf, increases of 25 hp and 9 m·kgf over the previous model year. Those who prefer a gasoline V-8 have 407 hp and 64 m·kgf in another 6.6-liter unit, which now comes with 10 gears in the automatic transmission, 4 more than before. With the Max Tow package, the Sierra HD 2500 has a towing capacity of up to 10.2 tons and the 3500 HD can reach 16.3 tons.
