Chevrolet has already started selling the 2026 Silverado line in the USA, with prices ranging from US$ 39,495 (R$ 220,000) in the entry-level WT version to a mere US$ 71,785 (R$ 401,000) in the top of the line High Country, the pickup arrived in stores there with practically no new features. The biggest changes to the Chevy Silverado are planned for next year, when GM will launch an entirely new generation of the Silverado 1500, which is already being tested in the USA and will feature a series of advances in relation to the current pickup truck, from a more modern design to the arrival of an unprecedented plug-in hybrid variant.

Out there, the new generation of Silverado will be launched next year (2026) as “Silverado 2027”. In Brazil, the launch should take place a little later than in the USA, probably only in 2027.

Production location is still uncertain
The expectation was that the new generation of Chevrolet Silverado would be produced in the USA, in addition to Mexico and Canada (markets that are also major consumers of this pickup), however the heavy tariffs recently announced by American President Donald Trump, could make GM decide to concentrate production exclusively in the USA (at the Orion, Michigan factory), as a result, the Silverado would arrive in Brazil with a higher price since Mexico and Brazil have a trade agreement, unlike the United States.
According to the website GMAuthority The New Chevrolet Silverado 2027 will be sold in the USA, Canada, Mexico, the Middle East and Brazil.

Design Nova Chevrolet Silverado 2027
The prototype of the New Silverado 2027 is still running with a heavy camouflage, however it is possible to see that the pickup will maintain its characteristic visual DNA, but with a more modern style, the pickup will feature a more imposing grille in addition to a totally new optical assembly, which will be thinner and more technological compared to the current one, in general we expect a more aggressive, imposing and more technological Silverado.

New platform, but not completely
The new 2027 Silverado will be built on an updated T1-2 platform, an evolution of the current T1 architecture used since 2019. While not a completely new design, the pickup will offer significant design changes, both internally and externally, as well as new, more efficient engines.

Motor Chevrolet Silverado 2027
One of the main new features will be under the hood, the New Silverado 2027 will be equipped with GM’s new generation of V8 engines, called “Gen Six Small Block V8”, these new blocks will offer more power and torque, while reducing gasoline consumption compared to the current 5.3 L V8 with 355 HP and 6.2 L with 420 HP. How will they achieve this? Simple, reducing the liter capacity of the V8s and adopting unprecedented hybrid systems.
Another big news for the 2027 Silverado is the arrival of an unprecedented plug-in hybrid variant. This version will be a middle ground between the traditional Silverado with a combustion engine and the fully electric Silverado EV, launched a few years ago and which has not yet caught on in the USA.
The plug-in hybrid version can only be driven by the electric motor, but the range should not exceed 100 km in pure electric mode, with the difference being that it can be charged from the socket.
In addition to the traditional V8, the pickup will continue to be offered with a 2.7L TurboMax and 3.0L Turbodiesel diesel engine.
Interior Chevrolet Silverado 2027

The interior also promises to rise to a new level, the expectation is that the new Silverado will have a cabin similar to that of the Tahoe SUV (photo above), in addition to becoming larger, the multimedia system screen of around 15 inches will now be connected to the instrument panel screen. The interior will be cleaner with fewer buttons, as well as a new finish.
