In a story well ahead of its time, we follow the life of Lady Chatterley (Emma Corrin), a woman born to a life of wealth and privilege, who soon finds herself married to a man with whom she eventually ends up falling in love. However, Sir Clifford Chatterley (Matthew Duckett), described as a handsome, well-built man, is paralyzed from the waist down due to a Great War injury.
It is then that she becomes embroiled in a torrid affair with a gamekeeper on his English estate. Discovering more desire and intimacy than she thought possible. When she realizes that she has given herself with her heart and soul, she breaks all traditions and goes in search of happiness with the man she loves.
The film was released in 2022, and although it received mixed reviews from audiences, the general consensus led to it boasting a good rating on Rotten Tomatoes, where it achieved 87% approval from critics and 74% from the public. In comparison, other racy films like Mea Culpa and 365 DNI barely reach 30% audience approval.
