Caramelo: Does the dog die at the end of the Netflix film?

Keeping company with Messi (The Anatomy of a Fall) and the duo Ozzy and Suri (I’m Still Here), the dog that gives the film its name was accompanied by animal trainer Luis Estrelas, also responsible for animal welfare on set, as well as consulting with American trainer Mike Miliotti (Garfield – The Movie).

Caramelo is directed by Diego Freitas (After the Universe), with the script written by the filmmaker (original idea), Rod Azevedo and Vitor Brandt, with collaboration from Carolina Castro and consultancy from Marcelo Saback.
