HBO Max receives major films and series in October! See full list of releases

The year 2025 may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean HBO Max is slowing down its pace of releases. In October, the streaming platform promises the premiere of major films and series, in addition to an anime that has already been a huge success on competing platforms.

Among the highlights of the platform’s catalog are the feature films Extermination – Evolution and Substancewhich play with different types of horror. In addition, subscribers will soon be able to check out new episodes of Smiling Friends, as well as the first narratives of Dan Da Dan, a well-known work on Netflix and Crunchyroll.

HBO Max bets heavily on horror in October

In addition to the highlights Substance and Extermination – Evolution, HBO Max also brings another major premiere from the world of horror in its October catalog. In IT: Welcome to Derry, streaming once again explores the story of Pennywise, one of the best-known and scariest figures in the genre.

Based on the original works of Stephen King, the series will show events that intertwine the recent film adaptation of IT, which was released in two parts. The expectation is for many disturbing and frightening events, in which children will continue to be the killer clown’s main target.
