GMC has finally expanded the Sierra EV line, its large electric pickup truck, with more varied — and slightly more affordable — versions.
After debuting on the market only with the luxurious and very expensive Denali finish, the brand has now revealed the arrival of the new Elevation version, which starts at US$64,495 (with shipping included).
That’s a $27,500 reduction from last year’s cheapest Denali, though the price remains far from popular.
Another important novelty is the debut of the AT4 finish, with an off-road focus, which will start at US$81,395. This version promises to please adventurers who want to combine off-road robustness with cutting-edge electric technology.

GMC’s electric pickup truck is built on the Ultium platform, the same one used in the Hummer EV and Chevrolet Silverado EV. For 2026, the Sierra EV line will offer three different battery sizes: Standard, Extended and Max Range.
Until now, only the Max Range version was available, with a monstrous 205 kWh battery that guarantees a range of up to 440 miles (approximately 708 km) according to the EPA, although tests on the Edmunds website recorded a surprising 507 miles (816 km).
The new, more basic Elevation version will only be offered with Standard and Extended batteries, while the AT4 will have Extended and Max Range options.

The top-of-the-line Denali can be equipped with any of the three battery options. The capacities and autonomy of the Standard and Extended batteries have not yet been officially announced.
Focus on off-road with the AT4
The Sierra EV AT4 is prepared for off-road use, with coil spring suspension, 35-inch all-terrain tires and two extra centimeters of ground clearance.
It also has Terrain mode, which optimizes performance on difficult terrain, as well as four-wheel steering and the curious CrabWalk mode, inherited from the Hummer EV, which allows the vehicle to move diagonally.
Other standard features include the semi-autonomous Super Cruise system and the illuminated GMC front logo.

The Max Range version of the AT4 comes with an impressive 725 horsepower, while the Extended Range configuration offers 625 horsepower. Both share an exclusive new aesthetic: the Forest Storm interior finish.
For those looking to tow with the electric pickup, GMC revealed that the highest towing capacity — 12,500 pounds (about 5,670 kg) — is available in the Elevation or Denali versions with the Extended battery.
The AT4, with the same battery, has a slightly smaller capacity: 12,300 pounds.

Elevation version: respectable equipment
Even though it’s the new entry point to the line, the Sierra EV Elevation doesn’t skimp on technology. It comes standard with a 16.8-inch central screen, front trunk with electric opening (the frunk), bucket with the MultiPro Tailgate system and 18-inch wheels.
It can also be equipped with the Super Cruise system and 800 volt direct current fast charging technology.
The Standard battery version starts at the aforementioned US$64,495. Moving up to the Extended battery, the starting price increases to US$72,695.
On the other hand, the Denali has also become a little more “affordable” with the new Standard battery, now starting at US$71,795, while the Extended version starts at US$79,995.
The Max Range Denali version still requires a hefty investment of US$100,695.
GMC also took the opportunity to present four new colors for the Sierra EV body. The first units of the 2026 model should arrive at North American dealerships this summer.
