I did the Ford F-150 fuel consumption test on the road. I spent ten days with the pickup, and traveled 1,300 km mainly on dual carriageways, but also on sections of single lane. Below, you will see the result.

What was the consumption
I obtained the best consumption when driving around 250 km on the Anhanguera and Bandeirantes highways, between the interior of São Paulo and the capital of São Paulo, using the economical driving mode. At the end of the journey, I got 8.7 km/l.
This is a better number than that published by Inmetro, of 8.5 km/l. Furthermore, it significantly exceeds the Ram 1500’s consumption of 7 km/l on the highway cycle. This model has a six-cylinder turbo engine that, despite being more powerful, should theoretically be more efficient (it is the result of technology called downsizing).
