If in Brazil, old F-1000s already have sky-high prices, in the United States the fever is even stronger

Velocity Modern Classics has just launched a new line of pickup trucks based on Ford’s iconic “Dentside” generation F-Series, produced between 1973 and 1979.

Early units shown include a 1973 F-100, an F-150 1977 and a 1977 F-250, all restored and modernized to the extreme.

The starting price is scary: starting at US$279,900 (around R$1.4 million), placing them at the level of supercars.

The transformation process begins with a Roadster Shop chassis, ensuring structural rigidity. The sporty F-100 gets an independent front suspension, solid rear axle and four-wheel Baer disc brakes.

The 4×4 F-150 and F-250 versions use Dana 44 axles at the front and Dana 60 at the rear, with Wilwood brakes.

All are equipped with a Ford Performance 5.0 Coyote V8 engine, delivering 420 hp and 63 kgfm, coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission from the modern F-150.

The bodywork has undergone complete restoration and can be painted either plain or in two tones, highlighting the famous side crease that gives its name to the “Dentside” generation.

The exterior finish maintains the classic look, but with quality improvements and LED headlights disguised in the original style.

Inside, the basic package already includes full restoration, Vintage Air air conditioning, Bluetooth sound system, steering with adjustable column and electric windows.

For those looking for more luxury, there are the Street Series and Heritage Series packages, which add leather with French stitching, an exclusive steering wheel, machined aluminum interior components and even Alpine multimedia.

Even though it costs more than a Ford F-150 Raptor R or a Mustang Dark Horse combined, Velocity’s proposal is to sell exclusivity and nostalgia.

These pickups join the lineup that already includes the previous generation “Bumpside” of the F-Series, as well as Broncos, Mustangs and classic SUVs like Chevrolet K-5 Blazer e International Scout II.

With the price of a super sports car and the soul of an old pickup truck, Velocity’s new “Dentside” series should attract collectors and enthusiasts willing to pay a lot for a piece of Ford history, now with performance and comfort worthy of 2025.
