Cinemas get into Halloween spirit with ‘Black Telephone 2’ at the top

The horror movie Black Phone 2 It arrived in theaters on October 15th, two weeks before Halloween, but it already has the country’s movie theaters in the Halloween mood. Seen by more than 290,600 Brazilians, the film grossed 6.35 million reais and reached the top of the box office ranking calculated by Comscore. Secondly, Tron: Ares had an audience of 116,320 and revenue of 2.74 million. Gabby’s Magic House – The Movie completes the top 3 with 101,570 viewers and 2.25 million reais.

Launched four years after the first Black Phonethe sequel follows teenager Finn (Mason Thames), who is still haunted by the killer nicknamed “The Kidnapper” (Ethan Hawke). Now in the afterlife, the villain continues to follow the boy through threatening visions that also affect the protagonist’s sister, Gwen (Madeleine McGraw). Determined to stop him, Finn embarks on a battle that spans dimensions.

The film joins The Conjuring 4, Sinners e The Evil Hour on the list of horror blockbusters in 2025.

In addition to it, two other premieres of the week reached the Top 10: the dramatic comedy The Good Banditstarring Chaning Tatum and Kirsten Dunst, and the national children’s animation Me and my Grandfather Nihonjindirected by Célia Catunda.
