Chevrolet Silverado 2025 should get Z71 Trail Boss version in Brazil

The Chevrolet Silverado 2025 line should arrive in Brazil with a new version, the Silverado Z71 Trail Boss, this is a cheaper and more adventurous configuration of the pickup, it has already been presented in Argentina and should debut in Brazil in the first half of 2025 as an option in relation to the current Silverado High Country, top of the line version and the only one currently available in Brazil for R$ 565 thousand, this new Z71 configuration should cost around R$ 50 thousand cheaper.

Silverado Z71 Trail Boss has a more adventurous proposal

While the High Country is focused on comfort and has a luxurious appearance with a full chrome finish, the Silverado Traill Boss Z71 or Z71 Trail Boss is more focused on off-road, has a similar proposal to the RAM 1500 Rebel, with several unpainted body parts and raised suspension, as well as a new grille and bumpers with a simpler and more robust design.

Among the differences of the Z71 Trail Boss 2025 are the honeycomb grille with black finish, hood with an exclusive look, suspension raised by 5 cm, improved suspension system with firmer shock absorbers for off-road and two levels of adjustment, 20-inch wheels shod with 275/60 ​​R20 all-terrain tires, protection plates for the lower part of the engine and gearbox. Remembering that this version is based on the intermediate LT version sold in the USA, meaning its equipment list is a little simpler compared to the top-of-the-line High Country version.

Differences in equipment between the Silverado High Country and the Z71 Trail Boss

Simply put, the Silverado High Country is the top-of-the-line version of the pickup truck and has exclusive accessories such as retractable electric side steps, bed with electric lid, electric front seats with heating and ventilation, electrically adjustable passenger seat, heated rear seat, premium interior finish, HUD display, as well as features such as cruise control with ACC in the ADAS package. Items that do not exist in this new Z71 Trail Boss version.

Although the new Silverado Z71 Trail Boss (photos above and below) is cheaper, less comfortable and technological. Its list of equipment is still quite complete, it has a sunroof, a state-of-the-art multimedia center with a 13.4-inch screen, a 12-inch digital panel, dual zone automatic air conditioning, electric rear window, smart key with engine start via button on the panel and remote start via key, leather seats, wireless charger for smartphones, BOSE sound system with 6 speakers, driver’s seats with electrical adjustment – but the passenger’s seat is manual, heating on the front seats, heating on the steering wheel, as well as Full LED headlights with automatic lighting that does not dazzle other drivers.

ADAS package without ACC

The big difference between the two versions is the ADAS package, at least in Argentina the Z71 Trail Boss has a simpler package without ACC adaptive cruise controlhowever, it brings all the other features of the safety and driving package of the High Country version, such as automatic front braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure alert with assistance to keep the car on the road, 360-degree camera system, trailer monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, monitoring of blind spots and safe distance from the vehicle in front, among other features.

Engine does not change

In the mechanical part there is nothing new, the Silverado Z71 Trailboss has the same package as the High Country version already sold in Brazil, we are talking about the 5.3-liter V8 Ecotec block, gasoline, with 360 hp of power and 51.9 kgfm of torque, combined with an Autotrac 10-speed automatic transmission, the traction is 4×4, remembering that this engine has a deactivation system for up to 4 of the 8 cylinders to save fuel.

A subtle detail is that due to the different suspension, the Z71’s load capacity is slightly greater compared to the High Country, 770 kg versus 716 kg.

Silverado Z71 Trial Boss Price

In the USA, the High Country costs US$67,990, while the Z71 costs US$60,700, a considerable difference of around R$50,000 cheaper in favor of the Z71 Trailboss. So much so that in Argentina the Silverado Trail Boss costs 91,883,900 pesos (R$512,800) while the High Country version costs 103,384,900 (R$577,000). This same difference should be applied in Brazil, remembering that today in our country the Silverado High Country costs R$ 566,000, this Z71 Trail Boss version should cost in the range of R$ 500 thousand.

With the arrival of this new version, the Chevrolet Silverado 2025 should gain more competitiveness in the market to face its rivals in Brazil, with a great advantage being the lower price, just remembering that today the Ram 1500 2025 starts at R$569,990 and the Ford F-150 starts at R$519,990.
