Chevrolet Equinox EV is R$90,000 cheaper in Brazil; see new price

Chevrolet reduced the price of the Equinox EV at a substantial R$90,200, parking the price of the model at R$ 349.990. The drop in price comes as a reaction to the low sales of the electric SUV, which had only 28 units registered in 2025. Launched at R$419 thousand, the model suffered a price increasecosting R$440,190.

The decrease further distanced the Equinox from its bigger “brother” Blazer EV, priced at R$ 503,190 and made him more competitive compared to models such as the Zeekr X AWD, sold at R$338,000, or the Volvo EX40, at R$329,950 and EC40, at R$334,950.

O Equinox EV, however, is larger than these models4.84 meters long, made on GM’s Ultium platform – the same as the Blazer and even the big Hummer EV. Autonomy is also superior, with 443 kmthanks to the larger 85 kWh battery. The power, however, is lower, with 292 hp, compared to the more than 400 hp of its competitors.

Still, the electric SUV is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 secondsaccording to GM. Recharging takes 4h45 from 0 to 100% in a 22 kW socket, like a wallbox, or can go from 15 to 80% in around 50 minutes when plugged into a direct current of up to 150 kW on a fast charger.

The Equinox EV is very well equipped as standard, with a huge multimedia center with a 17.7-inch screen with Google system, 11″ virtual panel, complete ADAS system with lane monitors, blind spot, pedestrian, cyclist and traffic sign detection, rear cross traffic assistant, 360° cameras, panoramic sunroof and adaptive cruise control.
