Check out when and where to watch Black Phone 2 online

The main theatrical release this week, The Black Telephone 2 is a film from Universal Pictures. In Brazil, the studio has a partnership with Prime Video, which is the first streaming service to receive the company’s productions after they are released.

The release window for a Universal feature film between cinema and streaming lasts around 180 days, that is, six months. Before becoming available to Amazon subscribers, which should only happen from April 2026the new horror film can also be rented on digital platforms – probably from the beginning of December.

  • Nominated four times for an Oscar, Ethan Hawke returns to the most sinister role of his career, as The Taker seeks revenge on Finn (Mason Thames). The target of the moment is Gwen (Madeleine McGraw), Finn’s younger sister.

    While Finn, now 17, tries to cope with life after captivity, determined 15-year-old Gwen begins receiving dream calls on her black phone — and having disturbing visions of three boys being chased at a winter camp called Alpine Lake.

    Determined to solve the mystery and end the torment that afflicts her and her brother, Gwen convinces Finn to visit the camp during a winter storm. There, she discovers a devastating link between The Taker and her family’s own history. Together, Gwen and Finn will have to face a killer who became even more powerful after death – and more connected to them than they could ever imagine.

    The first film, The Black Phone, is currently only available to rent on digital platforms.
