When it comes to «Back to the Future» there are many dates to take into consideration. There’s the release in American theaters (July 3, 1985, so we just celebrated our forty years) and in Italian theaters (October 18, 1985) and then there’s the whole string of dates “visited” by the protagonists of the science fiction story that has become a cult (especially for nerds). There is November 15, 1955 — that is, the date in the past where it arrives almost by chance Marty McFly — and also October 26, 1985, which is the day in the present (in the film’s timeline) where everything originates and where they return at the end of the first film. And, finally, there is October 21, 2015, the date on which the protagonist travels together with his scientist friend Emmett “Doc” Brown, as seen at the end of the first journey.
Here, precisely this last date, that is October 21stwas voted by fans of the series as «Back to the Future Day». And today it is figuratively ten years since McFly and Doc landed in the future. In the next pages we offer you some curiosities that perhaps you didn’t know about this saga full of dates and full of fans. Also in preparation for the film’s return to theaters: the October 31stIn fact, “Back to the Future” will return (sorry for the deliberate repetition) to the cinema precisely to celebrate forty years since this tangle of dates.
