Despite the FAILURE of the sequel, Jason Blum promises that ‘M3GAN’ will RETURN

The sequence ‘M3GAN 2.0‘ failed in theaters, grossing only US$39 million at the global box office.

For comparison purposes, the result represents only 21% of the first film’s total revenuewhich ended its run in global cinemas with solid US$180 million.

Still, in an interview with Variety, Jason Blum promised that this failure will not be the end of the killer doll.

“M3GAN will return. I will find a way,” declared the producer.

Previously, the actress Jenna Davis had revealed his expectations for a third film in the saga: “I think I would love to bring back some of the horror that we had in the first movie, because there was something really fun about that, and how dark and scary M3GAN was in that movie.

I would like to bring back more horror elements, but at the same time maintain its comical and sarcastic streak. I’m curious to know how she would interact with other children. I would like to continue developing my relationship with Cady, but I wonder: how would she react to other children Cady’s age? She’s so affectionate with Cady, but would she be like that with others? She wasn’t kind to Brandon in the first movie.”
