Chevrolet Silverado is (much) cheaper than RAM 1500 and Ford F-150

It’s not just the price of the New 2026 Tracker that Chevrolet seems to have regretted. This is because the North American manufacturer also decided to reduce (a lot) the price of the Silverado pick-up truck. The reason, of course, is in sales: according to Fenabrave, it sold less than 500 units in every month of 2025, compared to almost 900 for the Ford F-150 and around 1,100 for the Ram 1500 Limited. Complicated…

Silverado cheaper than F-150 and 1500 Limited

Now, the strategy is precisely to make the Silverado cheaper than these two rivals. Therefore, in the October price list, the picapona is already offered for R$470 thousand, compared to almost R$574 thousand in the previous table. Discount of more than R$100 thousand. But, if you still think it’s expensive, know that Chevrolet has the first imported examples, model year 2024, offered for around R$436,500 each. In this case, there is a reduction of more than R$137 thousand compared to last month’s full table.

It worked, at least the part about making the Silverado cost less than its competitors: at R$470,000, it ends up costing R$90,000 less than the Ford F-150 Platinum (R$560,000) and R$115,000 less than the RAM 1500 Limited (R$585,000). As for the increase in sales…then you have to wait a little longer for the discount to take effect.

Furthermore, the truck, manufactured in Mexico, remains unchanged. Under the hood, it has a big 5.3-liter V8 gasoline engine, with 360 hp and 53 mkgf of torque, along with the same ten-speed automatic transmission as the F-150. This V8tão has a cool function to reduce consumption and noise: it can control how many cylinders work according to the power demand, since, according to Chevrolet, 60% of the time the Silverado does not need all eight in operation.
