According to exclusive information from The Hollywood Reporter, Dan Parrault e Tony Yacendawho created the series American Vandal, will script, executive produce and command a spin-off of Superman, focused on Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo).

The series will focus on Olsen and other members of the Daily Planet, aside from Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) in the Clark of Kent (David Corenswet), going after cases involving super-powered villains.

Gorilla Grodd, the villain of The Flash, will be the focus of the first season. Grodd is a super-intelligent gorilla who comes from Gorilla City, a secret city hidden in Africa.

As Parrault and Yacenda are the people responsible for running the series, it is very likely that it will invest in the genre mockumentary, in the same way as American Vandal and other series like The Office.

A release date or recording start has not yet been revealed.

What is the story of Superman: Man of Tomorrow?

The story will involve Superman and Lex Luthor forced to work together in a fragile union to stop a threat to the planet. Gunn has not yet revealed which antagonist will be responsible for putting hero and villain on the same side, but the main theory (one that gained strength after a photo in the script showed a brain on the cover) is that of Brainiac, an artificial intelligence that is often seen as responsible for the destruction of Krypton in the comics.

We know, however, that Lex Luthor will finally use his powerful green armor in Man of Tomorrow. This will be the first time that the equipment, used by the villain when he decides to solve things with his own arm, will be seen in a live-action film.
