Keanu Reeves almost changed his name at the beginning of his career at the suggestion of an agent

Actor Keanu Reeves revealed in participation in the podcast New Heights that, upon moving to Los Angeles at age 20, his manager suggested he change his name, characterizing the situation as a “‘welcome to Hollywood’ moment”.

Reeves, who is credited as KC Reeves in a 1986 episode of The Magical World of Disneyconsidered names like “Chuck Spadina” (in reference to the street where he grew up in Toronto) and “Templeton” before becoming KC Reeves.

However, the change only lasted for about six months as he was unable to respond to the new name in auditions.
