Does Nick die in Our Fault? The ending of the trilogy explained on Prime Video

The release of Our Fault, the third and final part of the popular Guilty trilogy, based on the books by Mercedes Ron, marked a dramatic end to Noah and Nick’s intense love story on Prime Video. After the successes of Minha Culpa em 2023 and Sua Culpa em 2024 – non-English language films that broke audience records on the platform – the outcome was eagerly awaited by fans.

The 2025 film picks up four years after the couple’s painful breakup. Nick (Gabriel Guevara), now in London, and Noah (Nicole Wallace), recently graduated and focused on his career, are forced to meet again at the wedding of friends Jenna and Lion, which reignites their passion and jealousy.

The plot reaches its climax when Noah discovers she is pregnant with Nick’s child. The couple, who kiss passionately at a party after months of tension and jealousy, finally decide to reconcile.

Nick breaks off his engagement with Sofía and runs after Noah, who was trying to flee the city. It is at this moment, when Nick discovers that he is going to be a father (and is overjoyed with the news), that an attack occurs. The protagonist is shot in the stomach at the mansion’s door.

Nick doesn’t die. Due to the attack, the character falls into a coma. The recovery period is long, and when he finally wakes up, Noah has already had the couple’s child.

Despite being confronted by one last attack, orchestrated by Nick’s ex-girlfriend, Briar, and Michael (Noah’s former college counselor), the couple manage to defend themselves and protect the baby, ensuring the villains’ arrest.

The film Nossa Culpa ends with a romantic and definitive ending for the protagonists. Nick and Noah, once forbidden lovers, finally marry in an emotional ceremony, becoming husband and wife. They head off for their honeymoon in a sports car, celebrating their turbulent journey.

The actress who plays Noah, Nicole Wallace, described the end of the saga as a chaotic but appropriate moment. “It’s a very crazy and chaotic ending, but faithful to the spirit of the films and what the characters deserved,” said the native of Madrid, in an interview with Us Weekly in Spanish.

Although Our Guilt ends the trilogy, the books’ author, Mercedes Ron, said that the Guilty universe will continue. In an interview with CNN, she expressed emotion at the end of the version with Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara, but highlighted: “it is not an end to the Culpados universe, because we have English adaptations coming soon”.
