Taylor Swift Releases Secret The Eras Tour Documentary and Film on Disney+ TV News

After The Life of a Showgirl, her 12th studio album, Taylor Swift is preparing two new premieres for December on Disney+. The singer will launch a documentary series and an unprecedented show that mark the end of The Eras Tour, a tour that toured the world and became a milestone in the history of pop music.

The first project, titled Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour: The End of an Era, will show behind the scenes and the impact of the tour that revisited all phases of the artist’s career. The series will have six episodes released weekly, with two chapters released on Fridays, between December 12th and 26th.

The recordings follow the process of creating the show, from the first rehearsals to the last show, and feature appearances by artists close to Taylor, such as Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch.

“It was the end of an era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed the filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories that accompanied it as it ended,” the singer said in a statement posted on social media.

In addition to the series, Disney+ will also make available the special Taylor Swift – The Eras Tour: The Final Show, recorded in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8, 2024. The presentation includes the complete set of the album The Tortured Poets Department, which was incorporated into the tour after the release of the concert film shown in theaters in 2023.

The special officially marks the end of The Eras Tour, which began in March 2023 and was responsible for breaking box office and audience records around the world. The two releases arrive shortly after the good performance of The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor’s album released on October 3rd.

The album sold 2.7 million copies on its first day and surpassed 3.5 million units combined between physical and streaming sales, according to Luminate data released by Billboard.
